Cycle Tour Bangkok Countryside

Our one day tour takes you out of Bangkok and back into the Thailand of old. The guests will be picked up from their hotels. The ride starts at the Kamalulislam mosque, the hub of the local Muslim community. Riding along the canals, you will glimpse the harmonious lifestyles of Thai families, as well as seeing fish farms, working rice mills, traditional Thai wooden houses and a traditional medicine shop. We visit the bizarre temple of Phurt Udom Pol where we have chance to visit Buddhist heaven and hell while waiting for lunch. We continue our cycling for another 10km to the old market town of Nong Chock. We then trade bikes for boats and complete the journey with a river cruise down the Saen Seab canal back to the mosque.

This is a gentle 30 kilometre ride along country backroads and is suitable for anyone that can ride a bike. The roads are flat, quiet countryside trails filled with plantations that produce many of mouth watering fruits that Thailand is famous for.

We ride as a group, with an experienced SpiceRoads cycle guide setting a gentle pace. Stopping often to visit points of interest, we also take the opportunity to sample some of the local food. Koh Talu

Is one of the unspoiled island, located at Khao Lam-ya, covers an area of 69 rai, most of area is dense jungle with a high speed cliff to the west, and clean white sandy beach to the east and the south. The cliff was hollowed out (Talu) by the sea, so the island was named after it.
